Job Description
The Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice at West Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenure-track teaching position as Assistant Professor of Political Science with an emphasis in the field(s) of cybersecurity, security studies, or related field. Preference will be given to candidates able to contribute to the public administration and public policy curriculum.

Work Performed:
Position responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in political science, public administration, and public policy. In addition, the successful candidate must be willing to develop and teach online courses. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop courses in their field of interest. While open to area of specialization, we anticipate the position will contribute across fields and play a central role in the creation of a security studies related master?s program. Additional responsibilities include advising students, supporting student clubs and organizations, conducting and reviewing scholarly research, and active participation in professional organizations.
Necessary Qualifications:
+ Doctorate or expected doctorate in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
+ Ability and willingness to teach American Government and/or State and Local Government.
+ Ability and willingness to teach online courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience teaching courses in an online environment.
+ Ability to develop courses or programs related to cyber security, homeland security, or security studies

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
