Job Description
This person will coach and travel with the livestock judging team and represent WTAMU at local, regional, state, and national collegiate livestock judging contests. They will also work closely with and assist regional Junior College Livestock Judging Programs in the Panhandle Region.
+ Coach and travel with livestock judging team and represent WTAMU at local, regional, state, and national collegiate livestock judging contests.
+ Work closely with and assist regional Junior College Livestock Judging Programs in the Panhandle Region.
+ Work with 4-H Agents and High School Agricultural Education Teachers to promote Livestock Judging and WTAMU.
+ Host livestock judging contest and clinics for the Junior College, 4-H and FFA programs and assist with other judging/CDE contests hosted by the department.
+ Recruit students to WTAMU through ongoing outreach efforts which include but are not limited to: travel to junior colleges, high schools, 4-H programs, State FFA/4-H Conventions, regional, state and national livestock shows.
+ Work closely with Departmental and other university staff in the advising of team members and other undergraduate students who express interest in judging livestock.
+ Serve as a trusted member of the faculty and foster positive relationships with faculty, university and industry partners.
+ Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
+ Uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism both internal and external to the university.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Necessary Qualifications:
+ Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Previous collegiate (or higher level) coaching experience or judging experience.
+ Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor?s Degree in Animal Sciences or closely related agricultural based field of study.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
