Job Description
The Department of Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work at West Texas A&M University (a member of the Texas A&M System) invites applicants for a 9-month position at the Instructor level in Social Work, to begin preferably in Spring 2019. Canyon is located 15 miles south of Amarillo in the Texas Panhandle. The University provides a gateway to the rich cultural heritage of the southwest. Responsibilities include teaching social work-related courses at the undergraduate level, with a teaching load of 5/5, service, advising, and research.

Necessary Qualifications:
+ Masters or PhD in social work or related field.
+ Masters in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited program.
+ Two years post-MSW experience.
+ Ability to teach in an online setting is also required.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Social Work licensure in Texas is preferred as well as the ability to be licensed within a year.
+ Teaching and research potential needs to be substantial.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
